I have had a couple wierd experiences using henna straight from the fridge. I once did 2 feet this way. On the first foot, the part of the design I drew 1st was lighter than the part I finished with. And the second foot was much darker overall than the 1st. Since it was all the same paste, same method & same skin, I attributed the uneven stain to the paste warming up in my hand as I worked. So now I usually let refrigerated paste warm up to room temp first, or even warm it in my hands or hit it with the hairdrier for a minute before I start.
