I put a little apple cider vinegar into my lemon/sugar solution. Seems
to work better. When I was putting it into my henna it seemed to
spoil or dry out faster.

A cool thing I use in my henna recipe is dry red wine. Also works
well. Then again, maybe the combination of red wine in the henna and
vinegar in the fixer does it.
