Henna from Mecca ...

Has anybody ever tried henna from Mecca before ? It's fragrant, green,
extremely coarse (lots of funny bits in there) but oh-so WONDERFUL !!!

I've just received about 1 kg of that good stuff last week. In my
anxiety, I added some (unsifted) with just water, put it on my pinky,
left it overnight (about 6 hours) and then the next morning ... VOILA
! When I scraped the paste off, the stain was already a bright red. By
afternoon, the colour turned a dark deep red and by evening, it was
almost black !! No kidding ... just one application *smile* ... And
that dark colour stayed for 3 - 4 days before fading slowly (still
have dark orange fingertips) ...

I was so esctatic, I went on a mehndi frenzy, henna-ing everybody I
know .... hehehe ....

My mom loves the colour so much, she took the liberty of applying to
all her fingertips (I thought the red colour look gorgeous on her). I
did a palm design last night and left it on for 4 hours only and now
it's a beautiful dark red, almost brown ....

Just thought of telling everyone how happy that little henna made this
woman .... anybody with the same experience, I'd love to hear it ...
