: Did you find
: that in the heat that the henna ran a little more than usual (after
: application)-kind of like a melting type of thing?

The henna recipe I used dries really fast, within 15-20 minutes tops,
even for thick tribal stuff. It allows me to set it w/lemon sugar
faster, and after that, it's almost indesructable.

I also ended up keeping a glass of cold water near by and put
: the bottle of henna in it so that at least when it first came out it
: was pastey. I live in Norfolk/ Va. Beach so maybe the humidity has
: something to do with all these little problems.

I kept mine in the shade and that was enough to keep the consistency
right. There was just enough of an occasional breeze for cooling off,
and I never once saw anyones' henna migrate from sweat.

The cooling properties of henna were obviously at work that day.
People came back to the booth numerous times to remark on how good it
felt to be cooled off. Colorado has been experiencing some humidity,
but if I remember Virginia right, we've got nothing on you!

You know that phrase "but it's a dry heat"? That is Colorado.

Dries the henna real fast, though, so I'm not complaining!

Carrie
