mixing henna

I have been buying boxed henna at the East Indian stores and have not
been sifting it. At first I only used water to mix the henna with.
This worked, although not well. I now mix my henna with lemon juice
(from a bottle), Earl Grey Tea (that’s what I drink), brown sugar,
vinegar, olive oil, and water. I put the mixture in the fridge to
sit for at least a day. The results are hennas that are dark after
only leaving on for, say, an hour or so. I apply the henna with a
plastic baggie with a corner cut off.
