If you use a "spit pen" (the sort of marker that the lines dissappear when you rinse them) to draw in your henna patterns on the wedding dress...all you have to do to bead your patterns is: Put on your zipper foot and adjust it so it's to the left side of the potential row of beads. Thread and pull through a beading needle at the starting point of your pattern. Thread on all the beads you'll need. Set your stitch to zig-zag. Slowly zigzag the thread of beads into place along your spit pen line. It's like doing couching on the sewing machine! It grooves beyond words! If it's really intricate and you're really fussy, clamp everything into an embroidery hoop before you zigzag. I'm beading my son's bride's wedding gown that way this week. (She won't let me henna her. Big Catholic wedding. Phoo. )
