Color shades all some type of orange?

Is it posible to have the henna stain a real brown or a real black or
is the color always going to be shades of orange. When people on
this board talk about getting brown, is it really just real dark
orange that after left on for a while looks brown? Is it posible to
get a light brown from just leaving the henna on for a couple of
hours?
