Hello, folks! I applied the henna yesterday around 2 pm, and this morning as was expected the before ammonia results showed the wrapped finger was about 2 shades darker than the others. (this finger was not one of the ones i put into liquid this morning) I then poured the pee into a measuring cup and the ammonia into another measuring cup. I put my pointer finger into the pee cup and my obscene finger into the ammonia cup. I timed the experiment for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes had passed, I removed and rinsed off the digits. Initial results showed the pee finger a little lighter overall and the ammonia finger about 2 shades lighter. Also interesting to note, the ammonia finger really swelled up and got water logged (raisin finger) while the pee finger only got a little bit wrinkled. I then took a shower and cleaned all fingers really really well. Now as I type this, the pee finger remains about 1 shade lighter overall, and the ammonia finger, while also lighter is about 1 shade browner(not darker) than the other fingers. The best color by far still is the wrapped finger. One interesting thing to think about is that I am not sure my pee was 'aged' enough. I think it is supposed to be about 1 week old? The test pee I used was just over 2 days old. I will post late tonight or tomorrow to finialize these test results. Kara! :)
