A lot of people in hot/humid areas seem to need TP or cotton in their wraps to avoid a sweaty smeary, mess. But in my cooler climate I have great success with just new skin covered by thin, soft, fabric-like paper tape (available in the 1st aid section). This type of wrap really glues everything to the skin for me. And when I pull it off, it usually takes everything with it - new skin & almost all the henna. In fact, I'm often tempted to keep the tape for the nearly perfect design on it. I also use a new piece of the same tape to pull off any remaining new skin without rinsing. Any really tough little flakes come off easily with oil & this does not seem to keep my design from darkening. I use olive or veg oil with a touch of clove oil in it.
