Room temp is good......the boiling might have been a problem,
though.... beyond that, older henna is apt to stain orangey. Try
with not-so-hot water...and see what happens with your paste after 6
hours of soaking.

Truth? Every henna is different. Every batch of paste is different.
Every henna artist is different. Every circumstance is a little
different. After about 200 batches of henna paste....you'll STILL get
suprises! THat's what's so enchanting about henna, homemade bread,
and sex. Just when you think it MIGHT get entirely predictable.....
