It sounds like you want transfers rather than stencils. I use a
hectograph pencil or skin scribe marker (both from tattoo suppliers)
on tracing paper, then transfer the image with rubbing alcohol or
alcohol-based cleanser. CCJ has said that eyeliner pencil works in
the same way, too.
