I'm sure many of you have heard my b****ing and moaning about how I cannot have hennaed hands at work. Well I found myself with a bunch of leftover henna this evening and started wondering if I couldn't get away with a tasteful wrist band. As I sat staring at my wrist wondering this, I noticed a tan line ... from where my watch covers (!!). A nurse is never without her watch on the job. I congratulated myself on my brilliance.

Gave myself a nice bracelet. I'm sure most of you are quite proficient at this, but here's a tip for the kids: If you are doing a circle (anklet, bracelet, etc.) of two different, alternating motifs (squiggles, flowers, whatever), try to plan for an EVEN number. If you do not, two of the same will butt up against each other in the end. (Not that I did this, but I can imagine how silly I would have felt if I did.)

Also if you're planning to do your feet as well, do them FIRST. You will need to maneuver your wrist (& perhaps touch it against things) while you're doing your feet.

Perhaps I am not so brilliant. (Give me a break, I'm just coming off a long night shift.)

P.S. Fear not - I washed off the duh bracelet, started over & it came out lovely.

Oh, and shave that part of the arm if you're Italian (<-- or insert other hairy culture here). Those hairs springing back practically flung the henna out of place.
