: Does anyone else still experience problems with this page???
: Please be so kind and e-mail me. Be sure to explain what's happening
when try page and what you see. And be sure to include what type of
browser you are using. The page is best viewed with either a Internet
Explorer 3.x or higher or a webtv.
: thanx to all that have responded so far

I e-mailed E. last weekend after viewing the page in Netscape 4.5 and
Internet Explorer 4.0 and also looking at the source code for the
page.

The reason some people are having trouble is the links are coded using
an unorthodox HTML syntax that IE4 will read, but Netscape 4.5 and
some other browsers won't. The page also uses JavaScript animated text
and has a MIDI background that ares also in a syntax that IE4 can run,
but is Greek to Netscape, so Netscape 4.5 viewers will probably see a
page of static text and not hear anything.

It's a problem brought on by the "Browser Wars" between Microsoft and
Netscape. Both companies have introduced "extensions" to HTML and
JavaScript that only their browsers can read, and unless you've been
well schooled in the differences and know how to avoid the most common
pitfalls, it's easy to design a page full of "cool" effects that can't
be read by half (or more) of the people on the Web.

I've offered to give E. a hand and will e-mail a code snippet to use
as a model to make links that everybody can access.

N.B. to E...

I'll try to get that to you tonight or tomorrow. I can whip up a Java
applet to fix the animated text for you as well, but I'll send you the
simple stuff first.

Let me know what page creation tool you're using so I can be sure to
send you something that will work for you.

Roy
