There may be a slightly darker take from fresh lemon juice than bottled....but not much. There are other things that make a bigger difference, like heat, sealing, wrapping, and the addition of clove in one form or other. To get Castle Art henna, or any other henna darkest, seal it and wrap it one way or another (you can try what I do at the link below, or modify it according to your climate) and get your skin as warm as possible. Heat makes a huge difference! Be aware that there are some parts of your body that won't take henna stain very well....and some people don't stain very well (their skin is cool and glassy as opposed to warm, dry, and easily calloused) . Try henna again, wrap it, get it warm with a heating pad if you are a cool-blooded person.
