Pennsic is the world's largest S.C.A. (Society for Creative
Anacronism) war gathering. It happens during August at the same place
every year-Coopers Lake Campground, near Slippery Rock in western
Pennsylvania.
It is a feast for all the senses. The general store on site sells some
of the best chocolate milk I've ever had-fresh from the dairy down the
road.
Maybe next year I'll get to go....

go to www.sca.org and click on events. Pennsic will not be hard to
find.
For those who live too far west to afford Pennsic, there's always
Estrella War during February near Phoenix, Arizona. (Where, Gods
willing, I'll be doing henna next year!)
