: I have been reading your posts and am very interested in how you
: transfer a design to your skin. What type of paper do you use and
: does eye liner pencil truly work as well as the special tatoo
: liners?

The tatoo liners and waterproof eyeliner are almost identical. I've
tried them side-by-side and together, and there seems to be more
variation with color than anything else. You might want to use
your own brush as an applicator, rather than the one they
supply, though. They're a bit rubbery, and tend to peel off my skin,
but they are pretty good as a sort of masking fluid, to protect the
parts you don't want henna'd. To remove fast when dry, stick a piece
of tape on top. If you use one color, it's also a nice way of seeing
if your design will work well with henna when you move - to see how
the skin distorts before you commit to the henna.

: Also I was reading on the Cresent Moon site how she transfered an
: actual henna design from paper to her right hand to have matching
: designs on each.

I'm trying rubber stamps to lay down a design. I'm not sure if the
ink I'm using is good or not, though. (There are several kinds of
ink; I think the dye-based is best so far.) To reverse a design, you
roll over the inked stamp with a rubber brayer, then roll it onto the
desired location. Note that this won't work with the actual henna
(way too thick), only with the design guidelines.

I look forward to trying some of the actual henna-transfer ideas!
