An airpen is used for airbrushing. It needs either a can of pressurized air or a generator to produce air. The air get's pumped into the pen where there is a reservoir filled with paint. The air first travels through a hose into the pen and through the reservoir taking paint particles with it and spewing it out of the pens needle nosle onto the subject (ie: T-shirt, paper, ceramics etc.) I think that it woud be extremly hard to airbrush the henna paste due to it's thick consistency. The paint that goes through these needles are very diluted and thin. Hope that helped.
