I always freeze leftover paste. I don't use it on anyone who's paying,
but I do use it on myself, especially for experimental designs.
The color isn't quite as rich and the stain won't last as long,
but at times a short-lived design is what you want anyway.

A couple of days ago I thawed out some paste from two months ago
and used it to try out a design winding up my calf. It isn't its
original rich chestnut shade, but it's a decent "wet terracotta",
which is pretty good for a calf, I think.
