So... I know I'm coming into this late in the game. This is for the folks who are researching.
I've used the black walnut powder with great success. The powder is difficult it's true but if you have the right equiptment it can be delt with. I use those cone coffee filters as if I were making just one cup of coffee. I put about a tablespoon full of the powder into the filter and then about a 1/2 cup of boiling water. It strains through just like coffee it even looks like it too. I just add that to my tea mix and strain again. Smooth as silk.
