Catherine, Since you can't seem to give up giving away patterns (thank God!), maybe the book you eventually sell should be one of little snipits and quotes about the history of henna (such as the one above & the little history lesson on this web site). Such a coffe table (henna table?) format would be easy for customers to read while waiting on line or waiting for more lemon/sugar. It would also make them feel that they were participating in something all the more exotic and intriguing, and enhance their experience of the ritual. Plus, it would steer customers away from the 'temporary tattoo' frame of mind that leads to requests for black and seems to bug the living shit out of so many here on the forum. I'll buy it. And I bet it would be a good seller in hip, trendy book stores. All those trendy people will get accidentally educated while attempting to make their coffee table look cool. P.S., I'll also take some Bulgarian Gypsy patterns if AOL will let me :)
