Related: there's a middle eastern saying (it's more specific, but I
don't recall precisely) that "the food doesn't own the mouth; the
mouth owns the food." This was a statement of the female
organ devouring the male during intercourse. Rather the opposite view
of who takes whom, compared to western tradition. I'll see if I can
dig up the reference.
