Skin & Ink ran an article on henna summer of 97 with
beautiful photos of a darkskinned young woman with
"white henna." It was clearly not henna, but some sort
of body paint, and we wrote a lengthy letter to the
editor complaining about the article and lack of captions
for these very misleading pictures.
Have since met the photographer, who said she knew the
designs were not done with henna, but had no control over
the content of the article or magazine.
