With three sponsorships and a heap load of pledges, it is quite clear
that there will be enough in the kitty to avoid this looking like a
financial liability for me. So your money won't be wasted. BTW, I
love the "profits from henna party" idea.
I can receive cheques as soon as you like. I can even pay them into
my UK sterling account, though it will cost about 4%. If you need me
to pay it in soon to keep your accounting in order, just pop a note
in with the cheque and I'll do so. Otherwise, I'll hang onto the
cheques until I've found a friendly UK bank (and confirmed that
dollar cheques drawn on a UK bank are acceptable to a US service
provider).
Someone asked when we're getting booted off here - well, the answer
is as soon as I've got a new site ready, but not before. So there
won't be a break in continuity. And I can keep a bounce link up here
so old links and out-of-date search engines still work. And yes, I
have picked a recipient site (see link below) who offer enough space
(500MB) for little enough money to be affordable without anyone
breaking the bank.
