Does the fact that henna is not governmentally approved for cosmetic
use on the skin effect your business permits? I.e. on state forms
that ask for 'type of business,' do you disclose that applying (or
selling supplies intended for) henna "tattoos" is the nature of your
business? And, if so, is there any legal problem with that? I know
there are no government agencies out there looking to bust henna
artists, but if someone filed a complaint against me, would I be in
worse trouble for having admitted that I apply henna to the skin?

If you do not put this on business applications, what do you put under
'type of business?' I am about to contact the proper agencies for
starting my little mehndi business (just the art, no sales of powder
or supplies), but I wanted to ask you this first.

Thanks for your advice.

Amy
