I used Rani Kona for the first 7 years I was hennaeing, before I could
find a powder that wasn't hopelessly gritty and stale. The color I
get with henna mixed from powder from Castle Art is at least as dark
as I ever got with Rani. Rani had some problems, though decent color
was never a problem. The problems were tubes that would occasionally
explode and splatter on me and my clients, or foam, ooze and burble
when opened. There was no way to know exactly what was in those
tubes, and I really don't like not knowing what I'm putting on people.
I also prefer to have more line controal that I get from those tube
tips.
