I have experimented with all kinds of things to try to make the paste
stick better and flake less. Oil in the paste helps, as does some
sugar (or other sticky stuff) but I have found that a tiny bit of
glycerin in the mix, along with a tiny bit of sugar seems to be the
best. It makes the paste dry smoother without as much flaking. I
haven't noticed that it affected the color much, but I am using good
henna.
