I haven't used that particular kind of citric acid crystals, but I
have used some powdered lemonade koolaid (the kind without sugar) in
my paste. The ingredients are mostly citric acid. I didn't notice
that it improved things, but it didn't seem to hurt either. The
results were about the same as when using plain old lemon juice.
