I just finished the "Friends of Henna" patterns...the treat for people
who support the henna forum ...(see the Big Changes link up top if
you've been awol lately)

Here's what you get:
51 patterns.....all with provenance from historical sources:

Facial Harquus (face henna) patterns from North africa, 19th century

Ring and cuff patterns from Nigeria, Sahara, Ethiopia, 14th c. Egypt,
16th c. Turkey, and Morocco

Henna patterns copied from medieval miniatures: Persia, 1375; Turkey,
1550; Turkey 1500; Maqamat, Syria, 1350.

Toe and Foot patterns from: 16th c. Arabia, 19th c. Afghanistan, 19th
c. Bedouin, 16th c. Turkey, Tassoufra tribe, Sahara, 19th c, Tuareg
tribe, 19th c, Anatolia 18th c, Yemen, 17th c.

Fingertip and back of hand patterns from: Kashmir 19th c.,Bedouin 19th
c., Tuared 19th c., Anatolia 18th c, Shiraz 15th c., Iran 16th c.

Twelve henna patterns from rural Rajasthan with meanings from early
20th century

Sole and Ankle patterns from: Abassid, Mesopotamia 9th c., Bedouin
tribe 19th c., Turkish 16th c., Kashan, Persia 1204 AD, Sahara 19th
c., Tuareg 19th c., and Persia 12th c.
