Anna you and I are on the same wavelength, I did the exact same thing
to my left palm last week, now I have a perfectly ugly but super dark
blob on my palm that I try to hide in public. I skipped a step in
wrapping before bed, which I shouldn't have. I apply a heavy layer of
tp under saran wrap, and before I go to bed I usually check under the
plastic to see if the tp has bonded to the henna. This keeps the
henna drier overnight so it doesn't slip around as much.
The only other times I get frustrating smears is when I henna, then
discover that I have left something important undone that requires two
hands, or I have to change clothes ("C'mon honey lets go get some
chicken! Right now! What? Aw but I'm hungry! I'll help you change
clothes.....etc. etc......)
