It's called micro-spore tape and is available from any medical supply
and in most pharmacies. Plain old gauze works well too, especially
for larger pieces. Then there is the old stand-by, Saran Wrap (or
its cousins). It does not breath however. But if the design is dry
and tacked down well with heavy lemonade (lemon/sugar) first, it is
great for major works. We consider this essential if the weather is
very damp, raining or snowing, as an H2O barrier, so the dye does not
get diluted. Also the client can show off the design without
unwrapping and endangering it.
