Try the recipe and technique at the link below....
and get the freshest, best henna powder possible! If your henna
powder is extremely fresh, the dye release will be very fast (4 hours)
at 90F (very warm room temperature). I don't think the boiling is
going to be very helpful...and some people finds it spoils the texture
of their henna.
Try the plain bulk henna powder from www.castleart.com ...the current
crop should get you the fast intense dye release you want. Recipe has
much less effect than you would think on the outcome of your henna.
The quality of the henna is the chief determiner, the second most
cruciial thing is keeping the henna on your skin, moist and very warm
overnight (a wrap works best for me). I.E ....you can't expect to
make great coffee with crummy tired old coffee grounds.
