I spent all weekend thinking about this. this is what I came up with...maybe you'd be interested in trying it as well. I found one type of eyeliner pencil (blue) which draws very nice onto tracing paper. I'm keeping a collection of stencils in one book, then using tracing paper from another book when I want to do an actual transfer. The eyeliner comes off with pressure onto the skin, but works better with some olive oil cooking spray...Just enough to adhese the stencil to the skin without smudging. I'm not too sure how the oil will affect the henna adsorption into the skin. Since the oil adsorbs into the skin, I don't think it will cause a problem. Also, I found water color pencils work nice...Probably better than the oil. What I like about the water color pencils, is if you let the water dry without touchin it, the transfer won't even hardly smear on the skin. The eyeliner pencil smears for me. Thanks again. I hope answering my own question will help intersted others. : : Has anybody ever tried making their own stencils ? I draw my own : designs on paper and I'd love to make stencils out of them. Any advice : on what material to use and how to do it is much appreciated ... : Thanks for the attention !! : Peace to all ... : ~Jewel~
