You might be interested in a book I just saw in the store: Generation
J by Lisa Schiffer (I'm pretty sure that was her name). It appears to
be about the modern Jew's search for identity. Has a picture of a
woman with henna across the back of her shoulder on the cover. An
interesting answer to your question and an interesting metaphor for
the question of the book, I thought. Haven't read it. Just judged it
by its cover.
