Henna on black skin

Greetings...

Thanks so much for all the valuable information we've found on the
forum. We've only been dabbling in the art form for a few months,
but have already had very successful dark designs that last for
weeks! (Carrie Sue is quite the freehand artist!)

Our question:
Is it possible to apply henna to light and/or dark black skin? We've
had a woman friend approach us after seeing some of our work wanting
a design. We're reluctant to try since the pigment of her skin is
almost as dark as the designs we create on our skin. Does anyone
have experience in this area? Any caveats or special
methods/procedures we should be aware of?
