I agree with Shanon, multiple coats are the way to go. A single
application of henna turned out sort of sickly yellowish on me, but
after about 3 applications (that's 3 nights with henna on my toes),
the nails darkened up to a nice mahogany brown which lasted a long
time -- touched them up every 3-4 weeks or so, whenever I started to
notice the little white half-moons of new growth.
