I too have a rash from black henna, around my upper arm. Oddly
enough, the rash developed over a week after I had it put on. I
wonder if it could have been caused by a combination of henna and
soap or something.
Unfortunately, it is not just a rash, it seems to me that there a
fair bit of scar tissue (I can feel the rash through my shirt!).
I was told that some were allergic to black henna. I should have
known better than to test my super sensitive skin. So be careful.
Does anyone know exactly what ingredient may cause the problem? PPD
or something else?
