Several books indicate that the Egyptian, Sudanese and Persian
transvestite hennaed entertainers were still men....though that book
did mention that one of the main exports of Egypt during that time was
slaves, and that a substantial number of them were eunuchs. The
payment for the Sudanese "night of the henna" transvestite performer
incluced providing him a young boy for the night.
I want to know how hard it was to get the beards and fur off these
middle eastern guys, to the point that they'd pass for women!
