Loretta Roome's Book "Mehndi - The Timeless Art of Henna Painting"
mentions a few of these styles on page 60.
The whole hand up to the wrist or whole foot up to the ankle is called
"ghamsah" and is from the United Arab Emirates. In her book she
states that it is frequently used by the elderly.
This is a great book! I highly recommend it.
