Sorry for being repetitious, but for those who have missed previous
New Skin conversations:

If you do not live in a hot, sweaty climate (or during cool seasons)
this wrap works well for me. I let my henna dry well, but try to
catch it before cracking, then NS it. I try to stick to paint-on if
it is not too large, so I just paint the lines & not my whole foot.
Do not NS wet henna or you will get a slight orange halo & lines will
not be crisp. Then I just wrap with paper tape (the first aid kind -
it is very thin & feels almost like fabric). I press it right down
around the design to seal everything in place; you can see the design
right through it. It is thin, so if it's in a place that will get
rubbed (like a shoe) I put a couple layers (a shoe can rub a hole
right through this tape). This wrap is nice because it is streamlined
& flexible and easy to move around in.

To avoid getting the henna wet, I usually wear this wrap overnight
then shower with the wrap still on. The tape will get wet, but water
will not get under the new skin - it is nicely laminated and held in
place by the wet tape. I take the whole bandage off right after the
shower, so it doesn't stay soggy long enough to get to the design.
Color looks the same as if I had removed the tape before the shower,
BUT I find it will continue to darken longer & deeper than it does if
I shower with the wrap off. The tape usually peels the NS and henna
with it, so perfectly sometimes that I am tempted to keep the tape &
put it in my design book. Otherwise I use the tape to remove stuck
bits as you would remove lint from a sweater (but NS spray always
seems to leave some flakes behind which must be oiled).

I have been told that this method is a failure in very sweaty
situations, as there is nothing absorbant under the tape and it can
smear. I also had a disaster where I used this on a sole and the
pressure of walking on it cemented it to the dead skin so firmly that
it was extremely hard to remove and took some skin with it!
(Poor Mom.) Cotton or TP underneath is sometimes necessary, but then
the NS will not peal off.

I love the New Skin, but when a lot is required the smell can
sometimes really get to me.
