So when the beet juice dye went away you still had a henna
design. For comparison do the beet dye without any henna at all.
This is the same principle as the adding of chemical dyes to
henna. None of them change what henna does, but only add another
dye effect, which if strong enough will completely override the
henna dye (in which case the henna is little more than a
convenient and trendy filler or carrier for the chemical dye).
