Sounds like you are doing everything right, altho you don't mention
how long you leave the henna on, or if the skin was clean before you
applied the henna.
If you did do everything right, the henna is probably the culprit.
See if you can get your money back, spend it on good henna and then
read the archives of this list on how to make or buy an applicator.
Also, can you tell us the brand name of this henna kit so we can
beware.
