Something in that oil is a helluva oxidant. What did you smell in
the oil?

Other that that, she has henna powder fresher than we ever get, and it
was a very warm day. Lotsa lotsa happy little tannins! When I've had
had the spectacular combination of good henna powder and a really hot
sweatty day, the henna has done exactly that, no wraps, no nothing but
henna. The thing is, it's really unusual here (the shores of
glorious Lake Erie) to have powder that good, weather that hot, and a
situation where you can leave the henna out and undisturbed. (Henna,
in medieval Turkey and Arab countries, was often applied in the bath
houses, near the steam rooms, on ladies who'd been all hotted up
nice.)
