What a lucky group of kids! I didn't discover a lot of the wonders
of the Middle East until I was older. Good for you for broadening
those kids horizons.
I think the chocolate icing is a great idea. Another might be
drawing with a brown Crayola washable marker. Not as good to lick
off, but won't stain clothes either. I've used it in a pinch for a
dancer in a show I directed.
