It is NOT supposed to be black. Thank your lucky stars it's not
black! (see "black henna warnings" click at the top of the page).
Just scrape off the paste, after having left it on as long as
possible, and it will darken on its own .... and then stop in at this
forum frequently so you can learn more about henna!
