I am glad to see that I am not alone in this phenomenon. I was
beginning to worry.

My conclusion is that while the camphor does punch up the color, it
doesn't do it enough to make up for the early fade. Maybe I'll just
use camphor in those designs that I don't want to last long, like for
experiments, or designs just for special events.
