Yeah, i know Hassan Hakmoun's music. Great stuff. He plays in New
York pretty often so I have seen a few of his shows.

I prefer his stuff that is more pure gnawa music, less of the disco.
Gnawa music is so raw and powerful...it goes well with henna because
they are both so earthy and organic and yet beautiful at the same
time. Hakmoun's CD called something like "Fire Within" is some of
this pure gnawa....I love it!
