chips/color chart?

Interesting...has anyone gotten organized enough to use a chip palette
or some sort of color chart for comparisons from batch to batch?

I don't think I'm picky enough - for me, henna is like soup, part of
the fun is that every batch is different - but if anyone *has* done
this, I'd be interested to know what works as comparisons. I can see
making a color chart with hue (orange-to-red-to-browns/black) across
and saturation (intensity/darkness) down, but I don't think paper or
paint chips would be good to compare to skin (too reflective and
flat). Unstained leather, maybe?
