Most natural food coops order from Frontier , and their henna is
organic and very inexpensive. Frontier is in Norway, Iowa, 52318,
phone 800-699-3275. If your natural food store orders it, expect them
to mark it up to $8. a lb. Still a good deal. It takes a bit of
coaxing to release it's dye....you really MUST let the paste sit
overnight, and once you henna your hands with it, wrap your hands in
clingwrap to create a little Rajasthani humid heatwave around them
overnight, but that will get you henna color way past tangerine!

I mix up a big batch for teaching Mehandi class every week, and muck
the leftovers into my hair,.. the hair has never looked better! (It's
about down to my knees, and the henna has made it thick again, it was
beginnning to get whimpy...I'm nearly 50)
Ask any questions you wish at www.mehandi.com we're glad to help
