I can go the scented candles usually but I have been driven out of
many a store and/or booth by burning incense. For me and actually
many asthmatics it is the fast track to an asthma attack and the
scent of it on the air will usually cause me to hold my breath and
walk quickly away. Who wants to spoil their festival day with an
asthma attack. Nobodys product or artistry is worth sucking inhalers
for. Since asthma and fragrance sensitivities are common you may
consider easing off on the scented products. I find I can usually
find the henna booth at a festival from the smell of the paste which
I tend to like. It just doesn't need covering up if you ask me. Go
for the exotic music and beautiful fabric route. Ambience is
important but do you want to be scaring away potential customers?

Shanon

: there's a lot to be said about the experience of being hennaed.
the
: truth is that a lot of what people are looking for is to be
pampered
: and feel that they are partaking of an exotic experience. Anything
: you can do to create that kind of ambience is to your advantage as
a
: mehndi artist.

: even when i henna in the beauty salon, i always bring beautiful
: sarongs or batik fabric and lay it over tables and chairs, to
create
: an exotic ambience. When we do outdoor festivals we also always
have
: incense burning and at night scented candles. We like Nag Champa
and
: of course sandalwood, patchouli, etc.....

: any other suggestions, please just email me i have many!
