A forum person tried mixing tha ammonia from smelling salts into the
henna. I picked up some over the weekend and will try some
side-by-sides this week.
I'd previously done a lot of work with ammonia (the 10% plain solution
sold as housecleaning stuff) to percipitate henna to black on palms
and soles. (It certainly works ... you just have to make up
your own mind about how vile you think ammonia is .... email if you
want the rant).
